Virtual Avatar - Heygen

LoyJoy offers a seamless integration with HeyGen to let a virtual avatar speak your messages. This guide will help you set up and use the D-ID integration.

Prerequisites​

  • A HeyGen account.
  • An image of your avatar in 16:9 aspect ratio (a face image).

Step 1: Generate an idle video in HeyGen​

Navigate to https://app.heygen.com/avatars and create a new avatar. You can upload an image of your avatar or use one of the available templates. Next, create a new video using your avatar in landscape mode. In the script section make sure to remove the voice of your avatar and add a pause of max 3.5 seconds by clicking on the clock button. Add two pauses and click on generate to create your idle video. Download the video and save it to your computer.

Step 2: Create a voice in HeyGen​

In HeyGen, navigate to the Voices section and create a new voice. You can use one of the available voices or create a custom voice.

Step 3: Create a HeyGen API key​

In your HeyGen account settings, navigate to Subscriptions & API and create a new API key. Save this key securely, as you will need it to connect LoyJoy with HeyGen.

Step 4: Upload the video to LoyJoy and set up the HeyGen AI Avatar​

In LoyJoy, create a new agent. In the branding section click in the middle of the chat to see the conversation settings. Scroll down to the HeyGen AI Avatar section and upload the idle video you just created. Upload the image of your avatar and fill in the API key field with your HeyGen API key. Copy and paste the avatar ID and the voice ID into the respective fields in LoyJoy. You can find them by clicking on the three dots next to your avatar in HeyGen and selecting "Copy Avatar ID" and "Copy Voice ID".
