Agents π
Welcome to your backend in LoyJoy. Find everything you need to know about your agents and your Home Views!
Agents, Chat or Process?β
There are many terms in circulation. Here is a brief explanation of what is meant by chat, agent, and process in LoyJoy.
In short: In the LoyJoy platform, an agent is based on the combination of a process and AI. A process is a sequence of steps that the agent executes to achieve a specific goal. It is combined with AI to provide flexibility. A chat is the user interface through which users interact with the agent. Whatever you call it, the LoyJoy platform has it all in one place: See how you can get started
Agents, Home View and Foldersβ
Your agents are the core of your LoyJoy experience. To get your agent organized, you can move agents into folders. π‘ Good to know: You can also edit multiple agents and/or folders together. For all the details, just keep reading.
In LoyJoy, the Home View is a possibility for a start screen for the user. It has the appearance of an app interface, through which processes can be selected in a visually appealing manner.
Agentsβ
Create an Agentβ
Create a new agent by clicking the orange button "New Agent" in the upper right corner. LoyJoy offers three options: start with a blank agent and create your own from scratch, choose a template from our template store or a colleagueβs template, or enter a copy token from another agent. After you have created your agent, it will appear in your overview under agents.
1. Blank Agentβ
This will start with a blank canvas.
2. Enter Copy Tokenβ
This allows you to create a copy of an existing agent. Simply paste the copy token you received as shown below.
π‘ The durability of a copy token is limited.
3. Use Templatesβ
At LoyJoy, you can choose one of the 50+ templates that we have already created for you! If you want to use our templates (e.g. giveaways or advent calendars), simply click on βtemplatesβ in the left menu bar.
You will be guided to the template section of the LoyJoy website. Just pick one template and click the "Add template" button to add it to your tenant / workspace. In our template guide you can find all about how to use templates.

Move | β | β |
Copy | β | β |
Pause | β | |
Archive | β | β |
Delete | β | |

Bulk management of agents is possible through clicking on the checkboxes in the upper left corner of the agents you want to change. Now, in the lower screen, you have the choice of the actions you can perform on the selected agents.
Single management of agents is possible through clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner of an agent. Or just by selecting only a single checkbox.
Download / Upload as fileβ
To save your agent offline, you can download the .bpmn file so that you can upload it again and continue using it when needed.
Move Agentsβ
To move agents, select the agents you want to move by clicking the checkboxes in the upper left corner of the agents/folders you want to change. Now, in the lower screen, you have the choice to move agents to a folder. You can also go into a folder and move agents from there into another folder or back to the overview.
Copy Agentsβ
If you select the agent(s) you want to copy, you will receive a copy token. It will be saved automatically to your clipboard. You can copy the token and share it with your colleagues or use it yourself to create a copy of the agent in another folder or tenant. How to insert an agent with a copy token is explained here: create an agent.
π‘ The fastest way to copy a single agent is by clicking the "two-sheet-icon" at the right lower corner.
Pause Agentsβ
For agents that you do not want to delete but also do not want to be active, you can pause them. Paused agents will not be accessible to end users, effectively putting them on hold until you decide to reactivate them. This is useful for seasonal campaigns or when you need to temporarily disable an agent for updates or maintenance.
Archive Agentsβ
Archiving agents is a way to declutter your workspace without permanently deleting your agents. When you archive an agent, it is removed from your main view but can still be accessed later if needed by the switch at the top of the agent overview.
Delete Agentsβ
To permanently remove an agent from your workspace, you can delete it. Please note that this action is irreversible, so make sure you really want to delete the agent before confirming. Thatβs why you can only delete one agent at a time. A second confirmation pop-up will appear to avoid accidental deletions.
Paste brandingβ
It is possible to apply the same branding to multiple agents at once. That is useful if you have many agents and want to ensure a consistent look and feel across all of them. To apply branding to a single agent, simply use the agent's branding tab.
Rename Agentsβ
To rename an agent, open the agent, click on its name at the top, and enter the new name.
Folderβ
Organize your agents into different folders for a clear overview. You can also choose to display either folders or all agents without folders by toggling the switch at the top of the agent overview.
Create new Folderβ
Choose between a blank Folder or a Folder from a copy token.
- You can create a new Folder by clicking on the button "New folder" in the upper right corner.
- To create a Folder from token, copy the Folder token under the three dots and insert the token. If you copy a Folder, all agents inside the Folder will be copied and transferred.

Why to copy, paste branding, archive or pause folders are the same reasons as for agents. See above.
Delete foldersβ
It isn't possible to delete a folder directly. A folder is automatically deleted when its last agent is deleted or moved.
HomeViewβ
It is the first interface users see when interacting with the agent, providing a welcome, navigation, and access to key functions from which further agents can be launched.
