Video Gallery Module

Introduction​

The Video Gallery module allows you to add up to five videos to your chat, which will play directly in the chat window. To ensure compatibility with most web browsers, please upload MP4 video files, optimally encoded as Web Optimisedso that the video starts before downloading completely. The maximum supported file size is 10 MB, but for optimal performance on mobile devices, aim for 2-3 MB.

For larger videos you can use the external link module in embedded mode to include larger videos. Such videos can be hosted e.g. on YouTube.

Typical Use Cases​

This module is ideal for showcasing product demos, tutorials, promotional videos, or any visual content that benefits from being presented in a video format.

How to Use the Module​

Upload video​

Upload the videos you want to show your customers. Ensure the file size and format recommendations are followed for the best performance.

Preview image​

Add an image that will be shown as a preview (1200x630 px) before the video starts. This image acts as a thumbnail and can entice viewers to click on the video.

Video captions​

You can add captions in the WebVTT format, which will be displayed at the bottom of the video. Here is an example of a WebVTT text:

Display and Navigation​

  • Play Video: The video will start playing with a click on it.
  • Video Slider: Use the slider to navigate between different videos in the gallery, allowing customers to easily browse through multiple video options.
